@Henry van Gestel

Hallo Henry,

I have this meter. iskraemeco_mt171
<http://wiki.volkszaehler.org/hardware/channels/meters/power/edl-ehz/iskraemeco_mt171>
When you start with 300 bps, you get back the meter's answer
"/ISk_*5*_MT171-0xxx<\r><\n>"
The _*5*_ means you can go on with 9600 bps.
But before switching to 9600 bps send with 300 bps
_<ACK> 050 <CR><LF>_    this is (hex 06 30 35 30 0D 0A) and it means :
go on in ReadMode.
Then quickly change to 9600 bps.
Now you receive your data.

The complete sequence is to be done every time you call for data.
So the only way is, to do that programatically. Maybe in a script for
your terminal.

There is a second way, so that you can stay with 300bps, but I find it
to slow.

Tot ziens
rl
